Job Summary

The Data Analyst (Junior) will be an essential member of the Service Operation team, focused on supporting data management efforts to ensure compliance with Executive Order 14028 and Memorandum 21-31. This entry-level position involves assisting in the enrollment of enterprise IT assets into the centralized logging repository and contributing to the development of schemas to standardize log ingestion. The Data Analyst will support customer engagement with system owners, help with independent validation and verification (IV&V) of consolidated logs, and assist in the review and approval process for secured external website access requests (EWARS).

Key Responsibilities
? Assist in the analysis of data related to enterprise IT asset enrollment in the centralized logging repository.
? Support the development of schemas to standardize logs being ingested, ensuring consistency and integrity.
? Engage with system owners to facilitate their enrollment in the logging repository and gather necessary documentation.
? Help conduct independent validation and verification (IV&V) of consolidated logs to confirm data integrity.
? Contribute to the preparation and review of documentation related to secured external website access requests (EWARS).
? Assist in maintaining records associated with the Enterprise IT configuration Change Management process.
? Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to create basic reports and dashboards that present analytical findings.
? Participate in team meetings to provide updates on tasks and collaborate on ongoing projects.

Unique Skills/Tasks/Software
? Basic knowledge of Cybersecurity SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Elastic).
? Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform applications (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
? Experience with Atlassian Software products (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk) is a plus.

Preferred Certifications
? PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) (or interested in pursuing)
? Splunk Core Certified Power User (or interested in pursuing)
? ITIL v4 Practice Manager (PM) (or interested in pursuing)
? Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (or interested in pursuing)

Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or relevant internship experience).
? Some experience in data analysis or related fields is preferred but not required.
? Strong analytical skills with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
? Good communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with team members.
? Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and data management practices is a plus.
